Too late for GoldenEye 007 Reloaded?

GoldenEye for the Nintendo 64 has to be on many Top 10 FPS Lists. I don't know of any fellow friend or gamer during that era who wasn't an avid player. From those infamous Golden gun matches or the brave and bold "Slap" fights, the game was one of the best. Activision recently announced and debuted a trailer for a "remake" of this classic, and my heart is split into two. One half of me really would love a great game to come back and shine in the spot light while the other wishes they would leave a classic alone and let it rest without disgrace.

The trailer shows a few areas of the first few levels and I can't complain about the look of the game. Obviously the pixel count is an enormous amount more than the Nintendo 64 version, so the feeling of nostalgia came into play while watching the trailer. Not a lot of information has been released other than the company saying they will try to keep fans of the original happy. The only way possible to keep fans happy from the original is to make the Multiplayer fun and endless, which I do not see them being able to do with their company's attention going to Modern Warfare 3.

Regardless of how they approach the campaign of the original, every fan will be more concerned about the Mutliplayer. Will it have all the same maps, options, and guns from the original? Will it be online as well as 4 Player Co-Op? Will I be able to still own people with proximity mines in the Library? So many questions about this remake and so far, no answers. Hopefully this remake will re-capture the fun of the original. Stay tuned for more news and check out the trailer below.
